Payments & Safety
A 50% deposit secures your gown, with the remaining balance due once it arrives. We accept various payment methods and will explain everything clearly during your visit.
Every wedding dress is made to order, so it cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed.
As members of the RBA, you (the Bride) is covered under their BRIDAL ASSURANCE SCHEME.
The BAS is an assurance offered by the RBA so that you, the Bride, can ‘Buy with Confidence’ from an RBA member store.

The association check our business financials regularly to ensure the viability of their members. There are over 2500 bridal shops in the UK and only 85 are members. (Only four in South Wales).

We accept payments from the major debit and credit card companies - Visa, Mastercard.
When booking your appointment we will ask for card details to secure your booking.
Standard bookings are free, but if you need to change your appointment date or time, or need to cancel, please allow 48 hours notice by giving us a call on the numbers below.
Providing we have 48 hours notice, we will not process the £25 cancellation charge.
The £25 will only be charged in the event of a no show or late cancellation.

Wedding Dresses and About Your Visit
Yes, please. To ensure that we can give the very best experience, we do recommend an appointment.
We work by appointment to give each bride our undivided attention in a private fitting suite. You can book your selected appointment at your chosen boutique here.
For a first bridal consultation we allow 1.5 hours with 1 hour for a second visit. For Occasion Wear we allow 1 & half hours.
- Our gowns in Newport range from £1,200 to £3,500
- Our gowns in our Newport Outlet range from £600 to £2,000
- Our gowns in Cardiff range from £1,200 to £5,000
Be honest with your stylist about your budget and our experienced team guide you to options that fit your style and price point.
Nude underwear, a strapless bra, and shoes with a similar heel height to your wedding shoes are ideal but optional. Most importantly, bring an open mind and someone you trust.
We carry a wide range of sample sizes across our labels, many styles come in multiple sizes, and we’re experts at pinning and clipping dresses to help you envision the perfect fit.
We carry sizes 8-32 in-store, with a dedicated plus-size area, with sizes 20+.

Expect warmth, honesty, and excitement. Before you arrive, we’ll invite you to share your Wishlist so we can have dresses ready that align with your taste - and perhaps a few surprises we think you'll love.
Most wedding dresses will require alterations. These are charged in addition to the price of the wedding dress.
We work closely with trusted seamstresses who specialise in bridalwear. We’ll walk you through how many fittings you might need and what to budget for.
Standard delivery is usually 6-9 months, depending on the designer. We’ll let you know all your timeline options - including rush orders or off-the-rail gowns - at your appointment.
We often host exclusive preview events and trunk shows featuring new collections.

Absolutely! If a gown stands out, we’ll bring it back for another look (and a few happy tears) before you leave.
Of course! We recommend bringing no more than 2–3 guests who truly support your vision.
A smaller entourage helps keep the experience about you, but we can accommodate more, just let us know if you wish to bring more than four.
Yes, your stylist will be with you every step of the way to assist with changes and offer expert advice on styling and shapes that will work for you.

Yes. Once your gown arrives, we can safely store it for you until your fittings or the big day itself.
Not at All About Eve Bridal. Each bride has their very own private dressing room, with comfy seating for your guests.
We have sample gowns available off-the-rail in our dedicated Eves Outlet at our Newport flagship store, at special prices, which are available to take away on the day.

That’s totally okay. We’ll keep in touch, refine your preferences, and invite you back for a second appointment if needed.
In many cases, yes! Certain designers allow neckline changes, fabric swaps, or the additions of sleeves, skirts, jackets, etc. Talk to us about your vision and we’ll explore what’s possible together.
